Harrison VFW Newsletter September 2017
First and fore most I want to thank all who worked so very hard to make the gun raffle a success. Being a new event and not knowing all the ins and outs of holding such an event was somewhat of a challenge but due to your hard work and dedication it exceeded all expectations. Thanks again to all.
We have received some very good feedback on our post both from within our membership and from the general public over the last month. The post is considered to be a fun and safe venue that is a cut above other local establishments. We must always strive to be the place that is considered to be professional and to live up to the standards of the VFW and what its stands for. Once again, I feel that we are that place and that over the next few years we will become even better.
Several changes to the post that are being considered that we hope will make the bar area more inviting. For one, we are planning to put windows in the north wall that will allow light and fresh air into the bar area. This change alone should make it feel more inviting. The cabana area has seen very good crowds with good music and fun for all. Thought is being given to use the hall area for similar “just because” events during the winter months if the hall is not used for other rentals. Your feedback is encouraged.
GOD BLESS AMERICA & PROTECT OUR TROOPS
