Harrison VFW Newsletter December 2018

COMMANDER’S MESSAGE

Brothers & Sisters, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We had a good month, a lot of great entertainment. We had a wonderful Veterans Day dinner, put on by our LOV-s. I would like to thank each and every one who made it a success. December brings a lot of activities, the kids Christmas party, the adults Christmas Party and New Year’s Eve dance. VA Christmas Bingo at the VA Hospital is Friday, December 21, our Post hosts this for the Veterans. Be at the Post by 5:00pm and we can ride together. Thanks to everyone who donated items/money and helped pack the care packages for our troops. Thank you to those who helped make 2018 a success. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

POST HELPING VETERANS & AREA NEEDY

In November, the Post has helped 283 Veterans and families with VA assistance, driving to Veterans facilities and assisting with paper work and finances and people we helped thru Charitable Events using the Canteen and Event Center. Every Thursday at noon AA meets here. We have given out over $5,950.00 in November for our veteran members, local area needy, etc. This is what we are here for – to help! Post needs your help to step up and get active a few hrs. Each month!
