Harrison VFW Newsletter February 2019

COMMANDER’S MESSAGE

Brothers & Sisters, We had a good January! Everyone had a good time at the New Year’s Dance. In Feb. we have the LOV-s breakfast & Hillbilly Valentines Dance on 2/9. The VFW Family Feud & the VFW Valentines Dance on 2/16. Pro wrestling 2/23. Plus great entertainment each Friday night.

I have a BIG concern! We need our VFW members to come to our monthly VFW meetings and consider to take a position on our board. We need to fill eleven positions for 2019. If we cannot fill these positions the VFW Post will be forced to Close! We need our members to step up before the May elections.

Our Friday Fish Fry’s will begin on 3/8. We need volunteers! Please plan on attending the Fish Fry meeting Tuesday, 2/5 @ 7PM.

KEEP OUR SERVICEMEN & WOMEN IN YOUR PRAYERS

We have given out over $1,850 in January for our veteran members, local area needy, etc. This is what we are here for – to help! Post needs your help to step up and get active a few hrs. each month!
