Harrison VFW Newsletter April 2019
Brothers & Sisters, I am happy to report that March has been another great month for us. We had our first four fish fries, they were all very successful. I would like to thank all of our volunteers. The fish fries would not be the success they have been without you. You have made this the best fish fry around.
April is around the corner. We will be cleaning up the cabana and getting it ready to open the first week of May, weather permitting. We have a lot of great events coming up this summer!
In closing, please keep our friends who are ailing in your prayers.

JUNIOR VICE / FACILITY MANAGER
Comrades & Comradetts, Another month has come and gone. Seems like March 1st was just yesterday. The fish fries have started and man have they been successful. By the time this letter comes out we will have three fish fries left. A lot of exciting things on the horizon for our post. Keep your eyes and ears opened. I would like to thank all of our volunteers for their help with all the functions we have. Without you it would not be possible. Also when asked by friends why should I be a member? Show & tell them about the things we do, we’re not just another bar. We need your help the last weekend in April, Sat. & Sun. to get the cabana ready to open May 2nd. (weather permitting). Everybody stay safe out there and I hope to see you at the post. May God Bless.

POST HELPING VETERANS & AREA NEEDY
In March, the Post helped 420 Veterans and families with VA assistance, such as driving to Veterans facilities and assisting with paper work and finances. We helped thru Charitable Events using the Canteen and Event Center. Every Thursday at noon AA meets here. We have given out over $2,450 in March for our veteran members, local area needy, etc. This is what we are here for – to help! Post needs your help to step up and get active a few hours each month!
We are going to have our Gun Raffle this year, October 5th. The tickets will be $200.00. It will still be a one in four chances to win. The ticket includes dinner for two. If you buy your ticket before July 9th you will be entered into an early bird drawing to win a Henry’s Golden Boy 22. For tickets & questions contact Harry Power 513-673-1334.
