Harrison VFW Newsletter November 2016

Greetings Post Officers, VFW Members, Auxiliary, LOV-S and our many friends. It’s NOVEMBER and the election period is almost over. YEAH US! We all fought for the right to be free and voting is part of it – so get out and vote. November is also the time to honor all Men and Women who said they will – AND DID serve this great country. To all veterans-THANK YOU. The VFW is unique, because our members served in combat, but all veterans are truly special and deserve gratitude. For some, never getting the call was just about timing. All veterans pray for peace, but stand ready for war.  The VFW Veterans Lunch is this Sat, 11/5, doors open at 11:30 with program at Noon and Lunch at 1pm.  We are so honored to honor our men and women who have served our wonderful country.  Call Bev at 513 325-6182 if you have not made your reservation.

Did you see the new TV? Thanks to the Men for making that happen. We need a couple more to make us a sports haven. Seriously, we appreciate all of the effort that is put in to keep the post going. Two more months of 2016. Who is ready for a new beginning?

Care Package Donations are being accepted thru Thanksgiving, see box in Canteen.

Go vote darn it.

Michael W. Jones, Commander
