Harrison VFW Newsletter August 2015

COMMANDER’S MESSAGE

We have our new web site (HarrisonVFW.org) up and running. A GREAT big thanks to Kari Corrill, Absolute Web Designs, and Tri-State Computer Wizards for all their long hours and expertise to make this site so terrific and user friendly. Also thanks to Mary Ann, Jeremy and Bev for their input in getting it started. The site has pictures, information and the calendar of events.

The Cabana and Canteen have been busy so check out the calendar for the different things being offered. There will be several bike runs in August that we will need volunteers. There are many projects and improvements that need to be done and we sure could use your help. Let me know and we can get them done. The Mud Volleyball was a big success and the Chicken Dinner was outstanding. The Post will be hosting a Summer Party with entertainment by Biggin on Friday, 8/21, with special drink prices, pulled pork sandwiches along with our regular grilled food.

God Bless our Country, it’s Veterans and all in our Post 7570 Family

Robert L. Ostertag, Commander

LOVE OUR VETERANS –SOCIETY

I would like to extend a special Thank You to John Eversole and crew for the GREAT fried chicken on 7/18. Thank you to Donna Mess, Jack, Sylvia Ruthven & Lois Lane for the tasty sides. Thank you to all who donated desserts and time to work the dinner. It would not have been a success without all of our volunteers.

One great thing about working the snack bar is you get to spend the day with Hazel.

Mark your calendars, coming 9/25 LOVS will be hosting a fish dinner!  More details to follow.
