Harrison VFW Newsletter July 2018

COMMANDER’S MESSAGE

We are about to usher in the month of July with a Big 4th of July Bang!

Last month was a big success, the Cabana was open and it has been busy. Our weekly cruise in, wrestling, car show, music on Fridays & Saturdays, plus Bike & Jeep days on Sundays, all went off very well. I want to thank all of the LOV-s, Duwel Association & VFW Members who volunteered to help make these events a success. I would like to thank our bartenders for their hard work and good service. I would like to thank our new officers that have jumped in full steam ahead to keep our post alive and exciting.

I would like to wish everyone a great 4th of July.

GOD BLESS AMERICA & PROTECT OUR TROOPS

Harry O, POST COMMANDER

JUNIOR VICE / FACILITY MANAGER

Man is the VFW Post 7570 on fire! All kinds of exciting things going on. All three organizations have been pitching in, The Duwel Association purchased a new Keg-n-ator for the Cabana, contributed funds to extend the patio area at the Cabana. What about our LOV-s! They purchased three new picnic tables for the Cabana and contributed towards the new patio area. I cannot thank our organizations enough for their help.

We’ve have been having some big crowds at the Cabana, some really good bands have been bringing in some nice crowds. I cannot thank our bartenders enough for their endless hours they put in. All of our fine bartenders have jumped right in and are doing a fine job.

We have T-shirts on sale – $15. See the bartender.

I’ll close for now, but keep your ears open, some exciting things on the rise.

Thanks,

Bill Floyd, Junior Vice / Facility Manager
