We are through the month of December and we have had a good month, the Children’s Christmas Party and our Post Christmas Party went well. The LOVS breakfast was also great. Thank you to all who volunteered to make these events a success. I wish everyone a Happy New Year. In closing, do not forget our New Year’s Party. Tickets are available at the door or call MaryAnn or Fay. Please remember out friends who are ill and our service men & women.

First of All, THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE and I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I want to thank everyone who took time out of their busy Christmas schedule to bring a LITTLE (Should I say A LOT) of CHEER to the TROOPS at the VA Hospital for the Christmas Party. Thanks Mike Rice, Bill Floyd, Jim & Pat Vines, Harry Power, Ralph and little Ralph Jackson, Dave Wendel and Rita, Mike Whitener. Thanks to Bev and Hippo for making sure we had the envelopes and gifts ready.
Please keep these members in your prayers. We have a long list of friends that are ill they are: Indiana Jack Ruthven; Carol Cardi, Jacen Ray Gabbard (Shannon Laug’s grandson), Joe Laugle, Joe Ecklar, Russell (Duffy) Donohew, David Fee, Jerry Heidel. Please excuse us if we have over looked anyone.

Comrades & Comradetts: What a December. I want to thank all the volunteers who went to the VA Hospital visit, such a good time. If you have never been, try and make it to one. It is a truly moving experience.
By the time you read this newsletter, the holidays have passed. Hope everybody had safe and joyous times with family and friends. Turning the page to 2019, we are planning some exciting things for the New Year. You will want to stay tuned to what is coming up. We have a lot of good bands scheduled for the cabana, flea markets once a month, and two craft shows. Working on 3 music fests, cruise ins, Bike & Jeep Days will pick up on Sundays, wrestling back outside. So try and keep abreast of the events.
In closing, I hope everybody has a safe and prosperous New Year. Keep our Vets and Firsts Responders in your thoughts and prayer. Hope to see you at the Post.

LOV-s All You Can Eat Breakfast, 1/12, $8, 8am – 11:30 am, Volunteers are welcome contact Mary Ann. The LOV-s Christmas Party was a GREAT TIME. LOV-s yearly dues of $20 are due by 1/1/19. Bartenders have the forms, you can drop them off at the canteen. We always need volunteers for events at our post, please help when you can. Fish Fry Dinners start Fri, March 8, need lots of volunteers.

POST HELPING VETERANS & AREA NEEDY
In December, the Post has helped 370 Veterans and families with VA assistance, driving to Veterans facilities and assisting with paper work and finances and people we helped thru Charitable Events using the Canteen and Event Center. Every Thursday at noon AA meets here. We have given out over $3,100 in December for our veteran members, local area needy, etc. This is what we are here for – to help! Post needs your help to step up and get active a few hrs. each month!
