Harrison VFW Newsletter June 2016
This will be my last newsletter message to our Members, Men’s auxiliary, LOVS and Friends of VFW Post #7570. I have always appreciated the privilege of serving as your Commander and will miss the opportunity to represent such an outstanding group of dedicated and selfless, hardworking people. I hope we can look back on the last few years and say that we have initiated positive changes that have made our Post a strong viable organization with an unlimited future for growth and sustainability. We continue to grow our organization everyday with constant changes and improvements. Many of our building maintenance issues have been addressed and completed, both in the main building as well as our outdoor pavilion and bar area. Everyday there seems to be some other improvement or change for the better because of such a dedicated and hardworking volunteer workforce.
I was so blessed to be supported by such a fine group of Post officers and members who allowed me to be their voice and representative. Thanks again for such a wonderful opportunity. I will always cherish the memories of serving as a Post #7570 officer.
Next month you will be introduced to a new leadership team. A much younger group of dedicated officers with new energy and new ideas to move our Post forward. The future of our post is dependent on our embracing younger members and their families and friends. I ask you all to welcome the new management team and give them your full support. There is still much to do, and they will need your continued involvement and commitment to be successful. We have a loving and caring family here at the Post and I know that will not be an issue. Thanks for such a great experience and sometimes an adventure. May God Bless all our members and their families and friends.
Pray to God for the safety of our troops and our country.
God Bless our Country, it’s Veterans and all in our Post 7570 Family
Robert L. Ostertag, Commander
