Harrison VFW Newsletter June 2015
I would like to thank Captain Nick Palmer, US Army, for being the guest speaker and representing our Post at the Memorial Day Parade/Ceremony. Thanks to all our members who walked or rode in the parade and to the ladies for preparing the food after the parade. It is with great pride that Walt Miller received the Knight of the Legion of Honor medal. “The French government pays tribute to the soldiers who did so much for France and Western Europe. 70 years ago, you gave your youth to France and the French people.” Our Post has 12 WWII veterans who still visit our Post on occasion.
We held our elections and have 3 new officers on the Board under the age of 30.
We are compiling a list of activities where we need people to be in charge, you will guided in what to do.
God Bless our Country, it’s Veterans and all in our Post 7570 Family
